In Scoil Áine we believe there are four important strands to a young person having an effective and constructive placement with us:
The student – We recognize that we all have different learning styles and so offer a broad, balanced, relevant curriculum successfully delivered through a variety of approaches
The Family – Open channels of communication between parents and the school result in positive outcomes which benefit the young person in school and at home.
The mainstream school – When the time is right to begin the re-integration process, the schools work closely to agree a transition plan and timeline specific to the individual student.
The Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) – The collaborative work between ourselves and the CAMHS teams (Inpatient and Community) is an ongoing process with regular reviews and meetings, informal discussions and formal therapeutic interventions (SLT, OT etc.)
Our common goal, achieved by working together, is for the child to recognize their abilities, reclaim their self-esteem and live their life to the fullest extent.
We regularly review and update our comprehensive set of school policies ensuring the best practices and guidelines are in place. All policies, including our five pillar policies listed below, are available in our school office or on request.
